Photos from the Giza Necropolis
Giza, Egypt
Situated on the outskirts of Cairo, the Giza Necropolis is a complex of ancient monuments that most notably includes the three pyramid complexes known as the Great Pyramids, and the large sandstone sculpture (the largest monolith statue in the world) known as the Great Sphinx.
I was particularly fond of the Pyramid of Khafre, which still boasts some of the limestone casing that once covered the entire pyramid.

Oh Craig I love your blog, its so original with this passport entry and balloon notes, where you are right now (so smart). I enjoyed your article too. I felt small just looking at the pictures, excellent. Camels scare me (not sure why I'm sharing that). AJ

Great pictures.
Every time I see those pyramids makes me think how amazing they are and how on earth did they manage to come up with them and even make them happen.
Absolutely magnificent structures!

Beautiful pictures and I love that you included the camel and the person in a few of them for that added human element and of course for a sense of scale/proportion. Great job!
